VIP scanning reports
Customers who sign up for our VIP scanning service receive:
- a monthly report outlining any vulnerabilities visible on their internet-facing systems,
- information on how to address these vulnerabilities, and
- one-off alerts when we discover a high-severity vulnerability.
The VIP service complements the other threat detection and disruption services we provide through our Malware Free Networks (MFN) and CORTEX programmes. These services support – but do not replace – our customers’ internally or externally provided network security.
If you have any questions or want to sign your organisation up for VIP scanning reports, email us at vip@ncsc.govt.nz.
Cyber Security Investment: A Structured Approach
Data breaches and common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs)
As well as our Vulnerability Insights Programme, the website Have I Been Pwned provides a government programme that enables us to alert customers about data breaches if they have a government email address. We provide alerts for email addresses ending in:
- .govt.nz,
- .mil.nz,
- .cri.nz,
- .parliament.nz, and
- .health.nz.
We can also alert customers to new CVEs that could impact their systems.
