Rolls and Responders

Welcome to Rolls and Responders, an open-source tabletop exercise toolkit for cyber security incident response teams.

A good incident response plan describes the actions required when something goes wrong, and details the resources needed to resolve the incident.

Regular testing of your incident response plan is a key part of maintaining its effectiveness and ensuring that those who have responsibilities in an incident response know what to do in the event of a cyber incident.

Rolls and Responders is a fun, fast, and easy way to test your incident response plan and help to improve your organisation's cyber resilience.

The game manual is available below along with other helpful resources to support the game facilitator.

We encourage organisations to test out Rolls and Responders and let us know your feedback at exercises@ncsc.govt.nz.

If you choose to create your own variation of this exercise, feel free to share these with us. This will help inform any future versions we may develop.
