Reporting cyber security incidents and understanding how to withstand the cyber threats facing New Zealand is now easier with the completion of the integration of CERT NZ with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
The NCSC and CERT NZ websites have been consolidated to create a single site for IT specialists, large organisations, government and operators of critical infrastructure to go to for authoritative cyber security advice and insights.
As New Zealanders experience more of their lives and livelihoods online, the risks of cyber security are being felt across New Zealand’s economy.
The NCSC has integrated with CERT NZ to improve the experience for all New Zealanders reporting cyber security incidents, making it easier for people to know where to go for help.
With a refreshed website and a streamlined incident reporting function, cyber security incidents can now be reported in one place, whether the victim is an individual or critical infrastructure operator.
This single platform for reporting incidents will enable the NCSC to have a better understanding of the cyber threat landscape across the New Zealand economy and prioritise advice and support about these threats and how to protect against them.
The CERT NZ brand and website will be retired along with the 0800 CERT NZ contact number. To contact the NCSC about an incident, call 0800 114 115.
Own Your Online continues to be the NCSC's platform for individuals and small-to-medium businesses looking for cyber security advice and guidance.
