Joint Guidance: Engaging with Artificial Intelligence

New Zealand’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and CERT NZ(external link) have issued a joint product in partnership with the Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ASD’s ACSC)(external link) and twelve other international cyber security agencies.

This joint product titled, Engaging with Artificial Intelligence provides organisations with guidance on how to use AI systems securely. It summarises some important threats related to AI systems and prompts organisations to consider steps they can take to engage with AI while managing risk. The joint product also provides mitigations to assist organisations that use self-hosted and third-party hosted AI systems. This publication is focused on using AI systems securely rather than developing secure AI systems.

If you have any questions about this product, contact the NCSC by email: info@ncsc.govt.nz. For more NCSC NZ updates, follow us on LinkedIn(external link).
